Magic Mike is a great film. I haven't seen it in ages though. Magic Mike XL is quite good but Last Dance is not.

You really should take a look at Bazzoni's other gialli movies The Possessed (La donna del lago) and The Fifth Cord (Giornata nera per l'ariete). Especially the first one is brilliant and even a touch better than Footprints on the Moon (Le orme).

Netflix will not release the rest of the Mike Flanagan horror series on blu -ray ( Fall of the House of Usher, Midnight Mass, Midnight Club ) but Criterion may not consider them worthy of a release on physical media but i keep hoping.

Just a question, not really related to this particular video. I'm looking to upgrade from the 70th Anniversary Edition of Citizen Kane (the WB one with the attached photo booklet and the DVD of The Battle Over Citizen Kane) but I'm unsure of which of the newer restorations I should choose. Or should I just stay with this edition? I'm currently stuck at home due to an injury, and I'm a little tired of just watching RUclips. Can you help?

Love, love, love the work of John Sayles. The 4K of Lone Star is one of my favourites of the year and I also enjoyed Matewan on 88 films. I’ll be picking up City of Hope as it’s region free but sadly not Eight Men Out as it’s Region A locked. We desperately need more John Sayles on Blu-Ray here and another 4K on Criterion would be wonderful.

I imported the Severin Bruceploitation boxset, it arrived yesterday. Not cheap, worked out about £120 all in direct from Severin. Looking forward to digging in, once the football is out of the way

Cheers for pointing out the issues with the May December Blu-ray. Been wanting to see it because I adore Julianne Moore so I’ll probably just get it on DVD instead as I still like to get DVD’s for films that have a lot of dialogue and it’ll be cheaper as well 🤔

I was planning on buying May December having watched it on streaming and loved it. So glad I watched your video first. I wonder if any other countries' releases are better. The French one has a cool cover but it may well be the same quality of transfer. If anyone has a different version of it on blu-ray I'd love to know!

The problem is, the player sales don't seem to be thriving. It's a self-sufficient hobby. I do have to wonder, if eating out is now a luxury, how are people able to afford all this hard media?

I'm very much enamored with the 4K releases though presently I still have not gotten a 4K TV let alone player I am very much so diligently purchasing the 4K releases that are the best so presently a lot of what I am able to watch is Blu Ray I was able to purchase a Blu-ray of Lawrence of Arabia that was mastered in 4k I really enjoy your presentations and opinions and thoughts as there are non-biased or promoted thank you for your RUclips channel

If I didn’t recently import the Arrow UK 4K of The Long Good Friday, this month may have been a clean sweep of pickups. Might wait on the Araki box set but pickup everything else.

Highly recommend checking out All of Us Strangers. Me and my wife watched it recently as part of our podcast series, and we were blown away by it! I contemplated getting the blu ray, but now they've annouced a 4K, I'll go straight for that edition.

Given that Criterion is an American company, British films probably do constitute as being world cinema 😂 “All of us Strangers” is a fantastic film, but that Criterion cover is awful - it has weird comic book-esque look to it, which feels totally inappropriate (the UK release is using the original poster artwork, which is much more reflective of the kind of film that it is).

Very much excited to grab Happiness and The Long Good Friday.

I wonder if the "all in on 4k" thing is because of Criterion's new ownership. Regardless, I think it's the right move.

I'm so happy to see Happiness finally enter the collection! It makes sense because its sequel has been a Criterion release for many years. It's such a disturbing and funny film. I'm a fan of All of Us Strangers as well.
